Muchos est\u00e1n a un solo cheque de salario perdido del desastre econ\u00f3mico total.  Durante d\u00e9cadas, se nos ha animado a aumentar nuestra deuda, cuando en realidad el objetivo deber\u00eda haber sido nuestro ahorro.  Ahorrar dinero es un h\u00e1bito que lleva tiempo aprender, y el mejor lugar para empezar es ahora, con tus hijos.<\/p>\n<h2>Consejos para ense\u00f1ar dinero a los ni\u00f1os<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\"Deseos\" frente a \"necesidades<\/strong>: Todos necesitamos comida, cobijo y agua, pero probablemente no necesitamos ese par de botas vaqueras $600 o, en el caso de los ni\u00f1os, ese nuevo videojuego (de todas formas, dentro de tres meses estar\u00e1 de oferta o usado a mitad de precio).  Cuando establecemos cu\u00e1les son las cosas esenciales para vivir, podemos guardar el dinero que de otro modo nos habr\u00edamos gastado en algo que, despu\u00e9s de todo, no era tan importante.  Podemos acumular ahorros para los tiempos de vacas flacas, cuando tengamos que luchar para pagar el alquiler o las facturas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ens\u00e9\u00f1eles el valor del trabajo duro<\/strong>: La edad adulta es una \u00e9poca en la que comprendemos bien lo que nos puede reportar el trabajo duro, pero tambi\u00e9n podemos empezar con nuestros hijos.  Darles una paga por las tareas dom\u00e9sticas les ense\u00f1a la importancia de servir a cambio de una recompensa.  Cuantas m\u00e1s tareas se hagan, m\u00e1s libertad tendr\u00e1n al poder decidir qu\u00e9 quieren hacer con su dinero.  Si saben apreciar el trabajo que ha costado ganar dinero, estar\u00e1n menos inclinados a malgastarlo.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Empieza con una hucha<\/strong>: El dinero en efectivo, aunque s\u00f3lo sea calderilla o una paga, puede acumularse r\u00e1pidamente si no se ve ni se piensa en \u00e9l.  Cuando la hucha est\u00e9 llena, abre una cuenta bancaria.  Esto no s\u00f3lo mantendr\u00e1 su dinero seguro para un uso futuro, sino que tambi\u00e9n sentar\u00e1 las bases de su calificaci\u00f3n crediticia en los a\u00f1os venideros.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Establezca un calendario y unos objetivos:<\/strong> Trabajar con tus hijos para fijar objetivos es el primer paso para crear un presupuesto.  Cuando tengan una idea de un deseo o una necesidad y un plazo en el que conseguirlo, podr\u00e1s ayudarles a ajustar sus gastos en funci\u00f3n del dinero que entra y de los gastos que salen.  Haz que los objetivos sean m\u00e1s cortos para que vean resultados inmediatos, como con un peque\u00f1o fondo para juguetes, y ve subiendo.  En poco tiempo, estar\u00e1n ahorrando dinero para un coche y buscando ganar m\u00e1s dinero con un trabajo a tiempo parcial.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Predicar con el ejemplo<\/strong>: Los ni\u00f1os se dan cuenta de todo lo que haces.  Son como peque\u00f1as esponjas de informaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed que si a usted le cuesta tomar decisiones responsables y le cuesta resistirse a las compras impulsivas, les est\u00e1 ense\u00f1ando con el ejemplo.
